What the self-check said

It missed “ein Balkon” (should be “einen Balkon”). A rule-based check catches patterns, not everything, so each result ends with a short checklist for you to read through.

What the self-check does, and what it doesn't
You type your answer in the browser with the exam's time limit running. The check then looks at six things: the word count against the target, the greeting and closing for “du” or “Sie”, whether each of the three content points seems covered, your connectors, 17 error patterns, and a final read-through list. It runs on your phone; nothing is sent to us.
It does not give you an exam score, and it does not understand what you meant. Treat a flag as “look again”. For the speaking prompts you record yourself, listen back and compare with a sample answer. The recording stays in the browser tab.
Why these error patterns
Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada put the verb at the end of the sentence, and none of them has a word for “the”. German puts the verb second in a main clause and at the end only after weil, dass, wenn; it also has three genders and four cases. So the same mistakes come back: “Ich Deutsch lerne”, “weil ich bin krank”, “mit meine Familie”, “das Termin”. The checker looks for these and for calques such as “Ich habe 25 Jahre” or “Ich bin ein Ingenieur”.
