A check during your sick leave
In short
During sick leave, the CPAM can check that you respect it (being at home during the set hours, except for allowed outings). Your employer can also arrange a counter-visit by a doctor.
Deadlines to check
- If you are away during a home check without a valid reason, your daily sick pay can be suspended.
- After the employer's counter-visit, the doctor informs the CPAM within 48 hours.
- If your employer stops paying its salary top-up, you have 10 days to ask the CPAM for a review by its medical service.
What to do
- Re-read the allowed outing hours on your sick note.
- If you were away for a valid reason (medical appointment, test), keep proof.
- If you receive a suspension decision, follow the appeal route written on it (see the guide « challenging a CPAM decision »).
